yeah sometimes hard to tell unless you get a fully coloured up pic aulonacara change colour rapidly

Yeah bud the second pic is definitely an aulonocara more than likely a female - what type i'm not sure as so many females are that colour.

As far as the first pic goes i'm not sure, I don't think it is an aulonacara because of the shape of the head but if you can send another couple of pics as clear as possible we can have another good look for you!
