We are Southern Oak Aquatics, an online business started a couple of months ago. What made us decide to start our own business in this economy one might ask? True, It has been a pretty difficult road finding the distributers the big names use, and building relationships with them to the point of getting fantastic wholesale prices for such a small operation but its so worth it. We are weekly getting new products, livestock, plants,etc and the website is starting to come together nicely too. I am so excited to see what the upcoming year brings for S.OAK.

Thank you for the warm welcome. We just wrapped up spending all day planting our new stock in the bins (pics coming) and the 65gall needed a whole new look. So that was my job as Clay was on the other tanks. whew, time for a sip of whiskey and dinner!

I would be interested in more info on the banner, we are sponsers on another forum that just started giving us a banner and a seperate thread for our goodies.

I promise to spend time online after a bit more work tomorrow.... I am such a hands on person and Clay is the interenet buff. lol

hehehehe in our house its the other way round as i'm sure you can tell from the amount of time i'm on here and Terry isn't......poor soul is scrubbing fish tank stands today while i do some more playing around with the forum lol!

lol, Clay is on 3 or 4 other forums. Its funny he has been on them for years before we decided to start S.OAK and now its at least 4 hours a day of him on them replying and informing.

I love scrubbing the tanks and setting the plants, I am so much more on hand than him. But he is soooooooo much more patient about the pc stuff then me. Of course I haven't done much online in the past couple of days like I thought I would due to a saltwater crash, multiple orders going out, oh yeah and our day job in real estate!!!!! Its ok with xmas around the corner I should surely have some down time coming up! (yes tons of dripping sarcasm) affraid

This is a great group of people btw, I am enjoying being a part of it quite a bit. we went to Scotland this July and stood at the mull of kyntire and saw Ireland a short distance away so I guess I should have waved lol. but, being there was amazing everyone was so nice and friendly I loved it and Ireland is on the list for the future. :-)
