Hi

Im new to this side... I bought a Juwel 350 corner tank with a few Malawi fishes. The guy i bought it from had no time to look after them the past 2 months, even the lights were off, because the bulbs went out around Christmas, and he never replace them. The tank was covered with algae when i went to view it... The tank will be transported in my house this sunday. He said he would clean it up as much as possible (hope dies last lol.) but i dont know where or how to start. Can you give me some advice? Your tank looks amazing, and my new guys deserve the best after so many weeks of suffering.

-What do i treat the top water before i place the fishes in it? He said he used easylife water conditioner... if i use that one do i need anything else in it? He will send the fishes in a 30 l container, and i have to replace the other 320 l from the top. It is an establised tank , so the filter just needs to be washed in hand warm water?
- The light bulbs were out so i ordered T5 blue/ day / colour light bulbs. My question is, what do you think which light brings the malawi's colours out the most?
-Is there anything i need to know about feeding? How many times a day do you feed yours? What is the best food for them ( there are so many on the market it is hard to choose).

Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks a million

Ps: Do you know any shops which sales malawi's around Belfast? Im not planning to buy any just yet, i believe they need some time to settle in before they get a new room mate, but in the future i would be interested to have some new one, as there is only 6 fishes in the 350 l tank atm.
